5th World Congress on Targeting Microbiota

Dear Colleagues,

The 4th World Congress of Targeting Microbiota has just taken place and we are already looking at the future. This edition saw more than 350 participants and an increasing year by year interest.
Thanks to the tireless support of Prof. Marvin Edeas, from Institut Cochin - INSERM U1016 and Chairman of the Targeting Microbiota Congress, and the amazing location (Pasteur Institute), the scientific content has been unexpected and of very high level. Many topics have been deeply discussed and all of them of great appeal for the understanding of multiple aspects looking the magnificent world of "Microbiota".
The Brain/Bone/Skin/Vaginal/Blood and Gut axes have been emphasized from immunological, physiological and pathological point of view. Particular importance was also given to the fecal transplantation: related methodologies, regulatory issues and possible clinical applications and implications have been widely debated.
In addition, an entire afternoon session was dedicated to the bioinformatics approaches and to the most advanced technologies for the analysis of Microbiome.
I'm sure that the venue has created occasions and basis for further scientific networks and collaborations between the attenders as well as a stronger relationship between basic research and clinical aspects.

Targeting Microbiota 2017:

I do believe that this would be the best future strategy for the 5th World Congress of Targeting Microbiota in 2017: a strong communication between basic, pre-clinical scientists and clinicians.
So, I hope to see you at the next meeting in order to capture moments of relationship and scientific inspirations by the many and best scientists we have in the world studying the various faces of the Microbiota.
Let's see again for creating the big family of Microbiota! This is my real wish as new elected President.
